First Build!
22/23 Y2A - Twinstick Hunter » Devlog
Hello everyone! I am excited to post the first build of my current project @buasgames today!
This first block of my second year, I decided to do the System Design course, which happened to be a Twin-Stick Shooter in the Godot engine. Our task was to create a Game Mode, Weapon and Enemy for the existing game. I went a little overboard and basically overhauled the entire project, but I am incredibly happy with the progress that I have made so far.
Currently the project has:
- A Game Mode about slaying the boss enemy as fast as possible
- A weapon that charges over time while holding the trigger. This is a high risk high reward weapon
- A boss enemy that can quickly charge at the player and spawn little minions (with more moves to come!)
I still have many plans for the next two weeks, which is the time I have left to work on this project. I expect to bring you at least two builds in that time so stay tuned!
